Job Title: Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Liberty Point Academy. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality education and support to students with disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities. You will work closely with the treatment team to ensure that students receive the support and accommodations they need to succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure student success
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Virginia or out-of-state teaching license in Special Education or General Curriculum K-12
  • At least 3 years of experience in a classroom setting
  • Ability to work with students with a range of disabilities
