Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition by performing work assignments in an effective and prescribed manner.
  • Respond to special requests for cleaning or assistance to maintain the overall smooth flow of work and a clean and orderly condition of the hospital.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks using various equipment and cleaning solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Ability to speak English and understand and follow directions.
  • Knowledge of material safety data sheets, cleaning chemicals, solutions, and procedures as relates to a health facility.
  • Ability to train on new and varied equipment.
  • Experience as an Environmental Services Technician in a health facility is desired.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • May be required to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • May be required to lift, push, or pull heavy equipment or supplies.
