Job Summary:

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing our cloud infrastructure on AWS. This includes designing cloud-based solutions, deploying applications, managing storage and networking, and ensuring the overall health and performance of the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, extensive experience with AWS services, and a commitment to leveraging the latest cloud technologies to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Architecture Design: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures on AWS.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.
  • Deployment and Management: Deploy and manage EC2 instances, S3 storage, RDS databases, and other AWS resources to support business applications.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance, availability, and security of cloud infrastructure, optimizing resources and costs.
  • Security Management: Implement and manage security best practices in AWS, including IAM, VPC security, encryption, and compliance management.
  • Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or AWS CLI.
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity in the event of a failure.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network configurations, and application deployments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate AWS services into application development and deployment workflows.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices to continuously improve cloud solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications: AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar, are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFront, and IAM.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
    • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or AWS CLI.
    • Understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, VPNs, and DNS.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Security: Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
