UC Health is seeking a highly skilled Infection Control Practitioner to join our team at the UC Health Business Center. As a key member of our Infection Prevention department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and prevention across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and conduct the hospital infection control program under the direction of the Medical Director of Infection Control.
- Assist in the prevention and control of diseases in patients and personnel through ongoing surveillance and interaction in the hospital, identifying and investigating clusters of infections.
- Responsible for knowledge of regulations relative to infection control (i.e., CMS, OSHA, state and local health departments) to assist the hospital in meeting these requirements and make recommendations for maintaining current standards of infection control practice.
- Provide Infection Control education to associates to promote a safe working environment and protect patients and visitors.
- Conduct environmental rounds to ensure a safe and sanitary environment and serve as a subject matter expert to evaluate product efficacy and management of equipment.
