About the Role:

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist project managers and superintendents in ensuring that work meets quality standards, owner expectations, and profitability.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and responding to customer needs, cultivating customer relationships, and championing our company values.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Constructability Reviews: The Project Engineer will review plans from the standpoint of constructability, identifying potential labor-saving methods and cost-saving opportunities.
  2. Schedule Management: They will work with the superintendent to prepare project schedules, establishing dates for receiving shop drawings and milestones necessary to avoid delays.
  3. Progress Reporting: The Project Engineer will publish weekly progress reports for assigned projects, providing stakeholders with up-to-date information on project status.
  4. Customer Interaction: They will interact with customers, understanding their needs and preferences, and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  5. Quality Assurance: The Project Engineer will ensure that all work meets quality standards, conducting regular site visits and monitoring progress.
  6. Collaboration: They will work closely with the project team, including superintendents, architects, and engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  7. Continuous Learning: The Project Engineer will participate in training programs and workshops to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to express complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to modify plans and behavior as needed to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex instructions and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, with knowledge of scheduling programs and software applications preferred.
