Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist - Hand Specialist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum functional level. Your expertise in hand therapy will enable you to develop and implement effective treatment plans, utilizing a range of techniques and modalities to promote recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Administer and interpret tests to determine musculoskeletal, neurological, and physiological responses
  • Design and fabricate orthotics and adaptive equipment to support patient rehabilitation
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on patient deficits and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and discharge planning
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field
  • Three years of experience in hand therapy or a related field
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
  • Certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
