Key Qualifications

  • Graduate of a NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) and current license as Registered Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Specific certifications as required (e.g. PALS, ACLS, NRP).

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced-level respiratory care to patients, including diagnosing and treating cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
  • Oversee CRT staff, providing guidance and support in patient care.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol, obtaining arterial gases and evaluating results.
  • Administer medications in a timely and safe manner, ensuring accurate documentation of patient progress.
