Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at Williamson Health. As a key member of our Labor and Delivery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, identifying needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting holistic well-being and empowerment
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, facilitating effective communication and care coordination
Requirements:
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • At least one year perinatal experience preferred
  • Certified Lactation Consultant, preferred
  • NRP certification within six months of hire
  • ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire
  • Level I, Level II, and fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire
  • Able to function in stressful situations
  • Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call
