About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Veritas Veterinary Partners. As a key member of our hospital team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
  • Triage patients, providing timely and effective care to meet their medical needs.
  • Set up CRIs, calculate medical math, and place IV catheters to support patient care.
  • Maintain accurate treatment sheets and anesthesia records, ensuring seamless communication with our veterinary team.
  • Obtain and prepare blood samples for diagnostic testing, providing critical information for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assess patient pain levels and provide compassionate care to ensure their comfort and well-being.
  • Act as a patient advocate, providing exceptional care and support to our hospitalized patients.
  • Provide client education on at-home care, empowering pet owners to make informed decisions about their pets' health.
Requirements
  • CVT/LVT certification or a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Veterinary Technician.
  • Comprehensive understanding of anesthetic monitoring and proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens.
  • Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with an understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges.
  • Commitment to mentoring and training veterinary assistants, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a positive outlook and friendly, team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
  • Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and grow with our team.
