Job Summary

This position is responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the activities of the Market Analysis and Research Section. The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychology and experience in total force recruiting. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and have a well-versed understanding of a number of academic disciplines, including statistics, survey/question design, screening instruments, operations research, computer programming, demographic projections, marketing, and advertising.

Key Responsibilities

* Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Market Analysis and Research Section
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
* Represents HQ AFRS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations
* Conducts, contributes to, and collaborates on Market Analysis and Research Section studies, surveys, reports, and outreach

* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Qualifications

* In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions, GS 0180 series + IOR (Individual Occupational Requirements).
* A degree with a major or equivalent in psychology is required. Note: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application.
* In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
* SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Experience applying knowledge of Total Force Recruiting to attain Regular Air Force (RegAF), Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), Air National Guard (ANG), United States Space Force (USSF), United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp (AFROTC) accessions. Applying knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Planning, organizing, and directing the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing. Well-versed in a number of academic disciplines: statistics, survey/question design, screening instruments, operations research, computer programming, demographic projections, marketing, and advertising.
