Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as needed.
  • Provide collaborative nursing support to ensure efficient patient flow and care.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures, including administering injections and taking vital signs.
  • Answer patient telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RNs.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks, including maintaining physician schedules and managing patient records.

Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a clinical setting.
  • CPR Certification and BLS certification required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
  • Phlebotomy skills highly desired.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
