The Commissioning SHE Coordinator is responsible for ensuring comprehensive Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) compliance and culture during the commissioning phase of a major pharmaceutical start-up project. This role requires an individual with a robust background in industrial or pharmaceutical safety management, extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance, and experience coordinating safety in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of SHE for the LP1 commissioning project, ensuring alignment with company and regulatory standards.
- Lead daily safety briefings, sharing lessons learned, incident prevention tips, and fostering a strong safety culture across teams.
- Review Job Hazard Analyses, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permits to Work (PTWs) for commissioning and qualification (CQ) phases.
- Manage Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures between the C&Q, user, and construction teams, ensuring proper control measures are in place.
- Conduct thorough investigations into safety incidents, perform root cause analyses, and assist in implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Develop and facilitate SHE programs, checklists, and protocols, especially for solvent introduction and system energizations.
- Participate in walkdowns and coordinate SHE-related field activities with construction daily.
- Foster a proactive safety culture to ensure a seamless transition from construction to start-up/commissioning and qualification.
Salary: Estimated $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
