Senior Wholesale Dairy Buyer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Wholesale Dairy Buyer to join our team at Carrie Rikon & Associates, LLC. This pivotal role is designed to uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional value and quality products to our clientele in the restaurant sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for various dairy segments to ensure excellence, cost-efficiency, and supplier reliability.
- Analyze market trends and conduct competitive analyses to identify opportunities for negotiation and innovative sourcing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, exploring new avenues for partnerships and sourcing.
- Collaborate with merchandising and inventory management teams to guarantee product accessibility, prompt delivery, and optimal stock levels.
- Evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with our quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Regularly assess product range and performance, adjusting buying approaches as needed.
- Partner with marketing and sales departments to identify promotional opportunities and spearhead product introductions.
- A minimum of three years of proven experience in wholesale dairy buying, with a strong preference for backgrounds in sizable retail or wholesale environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the grocery and dairy sector, including market trends, pricing tactics, and supply chain logistics and vendor contacts.
- Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering supplier relationships and collaborating effectively with internal teams and vendors.
- Proficient in data analysis and market trend evaluation to inform strategic purchasing decisions.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities, able to manage numerous projects and deadlines efficiently.
- A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a relevant field is desirable.
