We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Co-op to join our team at the J&J Family of Companies. As a member of our research and development team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative medical devices and technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of deformity correction and trauma orthopedics products through the application of engineering knowledge.
- Draft and run development testing for various design and verification activities.
- Gain experience with tolerance stack analysis, mechanical testing, and finite element analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external project team members to ensure the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance.
- Current university student in an accredited Mechanical or Biomedical engineering program in good academic standing.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software, including intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Interest in medical device/orthopedic fields.
- Ability to think creatively and work independently on multiple projects.
- Excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, thoroughness, decisiveness, and flexibility, with a strong sense of priorities and time management.
