Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled General Ledger Accountant to contribute to our mission of promoting sustainable gardening. The ideal candidate will utilize their accounting expertise to support our dynamic organization. If you are an organized professional with a passion for sustainability and community impact, we invite you to consider this opportunity. This is a full-time, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting of all financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing audit requests and respond to inquiries as necessary.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation projects to enhance accounting efficiency.
- Establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting as required.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational enhancements.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably at a senior level.
- Experience in public accounting and e-commerce is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and quickly adapt to new software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Capable of working at a desk for extended periods.
- Competitive salary range of $60,000 - $85,000.
