Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our culinary team at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.
  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.
  • Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Less than 1-year related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
