Nova Southeastern University is seeking a highly skilled Budget Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial planning department, you will be responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budget comparisons and variance analyses.
- Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Classify, record, and summarize financial data to compile and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare purchase orders, check requests, and expense reports, as well as journal entries and budget transfers.
- Analyze budget data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide financial guidance and support to departmental managers and staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Up to two years of accounting-related experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Professional certifications, such as CPA or CMA.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis software.
This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and may involve working evenings or weekends as needed.
