POSITION SUMMARY

The BIM Modeler will collaborate with the Family Development Team to enhance existing standards and address specific project requirements.

Responsibilities include the creation of tailored families for ongoing projects, as well as leading and overseeing the modeling and documentation processes.

Key duties involve scheduling and delegating tasks to ensure timely project deliverables, as well as refining background drawings and models for integration into the REI model.

The role requires the development of Revit models utilizing inputs from various trades, alongside collaboration with project Coordinators and Detailers.

Additionally, the BIM Modeler will supervise the integration of marked-up drawings into Revit, ensuring compliance with REI Standards.

It is essential to conduct thorough back-checks of colleagues' work for precision before forwarding it to the project team.

Confidentiality and adherence to non-disclosure agreements regarding proprietary information are paramount in this position.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess an advanced understanding of current modeling software utilized by REI, including the ability to create and manipulate Revit families, views, sheets, schedules, and filters.

A background in electrical modeling within commercial, industrial, or renewable sectors is preferred, along with strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design directives.

Leadership capabilities and comfort in engaging with management are crucial.

Comprehensive knowledge of REI BIM processes and workflows is required, including the ability to create simple parametric families and complex geometries.

Proficiency in the latest version of Revit software, as well as fluency in interpreting 2D plans and navigating both 2D and 3D environments, is necessary.

Familiarity with Autodesk Navis Works and Autodesk Design Review is advantageous.

Advanced skills in 3D layout and design, particularly with an electrical focus, are essential for success in this role.
