Job Summary

The Cath Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Cardiology Department to ensure that all procedures and cases are performed efficiently and effectively. This includes managing staff, scheduling, budget development, and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Accountability: Maintain operational expenses in accordance with FY Budget projections, assist in budget preparations, and monitor budget variances.
  • Manages Routine Operations: Adjust staffing plans, maintain open communication with physicians, and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Manages Strategic Planning: Coordinate new services, construction/renovation projects, and oversee the Procedural Cardiology Program growth.
  • Manages Human Resources: Provide for interviewing, selecting, orientation/training, and competency of staff, recruitment and retention of qualified staff, and ensure effective employee orientation and mentoring process.
  • Quality Initiatives: Meet performance and quality improvement standards, maintain policies/procedures, and ensure adherence to State, Federal, and JCAHO standards and regulations.
  • Patient/Customer Satisfaction: Monitor patient satisfaction, make recommendations, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
Requirements
  • A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years interventional or Cath lab experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
  • Registered CVI Specialist, Registered Nurse (Single State), RN - Multi-state Compact, Basic Life Support, and BLS - Instructor certifications.
