Gundersen Health System is seeking a comprehensive ophthalmologist to join our established practice. The ideal candidate should have a mix of interests with a solid comprehensive focus to join our team-based department. Shared call with other board-certified ophthalmologists on staff.
About the RoleThe Gundersen Eye Department is a full-service ophthalmology department with a team of eleven ophthalmologists, optometrists, certified ophthalmic and optometric technicians, contact lens specialists, low vision personnel, and on-site opticians. We provide state-of-the-art eye care to the citizens of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota, and northeast Iowa.
Requirements- Completion of an accredited residency training program is required for this role.
- Fellowship is considered but not required.
- Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.
This is an employed model with competitive salary and benefits. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows, or clinical staff is a cornerstone of our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
