Position Overview:
Med Surg RN - 3, 12HR shifts (15:00-03:00)
The selected candidate should be proficient in managing various intravenous therapies, including Insulin and Cardizem.

Essential Qualifications:
Must possess Charge experience.
Experience required in:

- Foley catheter insertion
- Administering subcutaneous Insulin
- Potassium infusions
- Utilizing cardiac monitoring systems
- Reporting low potassium levels and oxygen saturation issues
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is mandatory.


Patient Care Details:
Average Daily Census: 25 beds
Staffing Ratios:
Days - 1:5, Nights - 1:6, Weekends - 1:6

Patient Demographics:
Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
No floating required.
Weekend coverage is every other weekend.
Medication Systems: Omnicell
Documentation System: Meditech
Charting experience is essential.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Overtime after 48 hours for 48-hour schedules.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Charge experience
- Proficiency in Foley catheter insertion
- Experience with subcutaneous Insulin administration
- Knowledge of potassium infusion procedures
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring
- Ability to report low potassium levels and oxygen saturation issues.

Work Schedule:
Shifts: 3, 12HR (15:00-03:00)

Additional Information:
- Unexpired government-issued photo ID is required.
- AHA or ARC certification is acceptable for certain qualifications.
- National Certification/Verification is required prior to facility start and upon expiration.
- Signed acknowledgment covering Joint Commission Training Safety Manual is necessary.
- Primary source verification is required prior to facility start and upon expiration.
- Nursys verification is required prior to facility start.
- A physical exam statement from a physician within the last 12 months is necessary.
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start is required.
- Drug screening within the last 12 months of start is mandatory.
- Vaccine or declination is required during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required.
