The Role:- You'll lead the effort to design and build next-generation machine learning data and training systems that power up to 100 production models, directly impacting Pinterest's monetization business.
- You'll optimize ads ML training performance and efficiency by 10x from both infrastructure and model perspectives.
- You'll collaborate with internal and external ML communities to bring in new technologies and advance machine learning paradigms, including generative AI and large language models.
- You'll partner with ML teams to enhance development frameworks and monitoring tools for production training and data quality stability.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in leading the design of large-scale and production machine learning infrastructure systems.
- Deep knowledge of at least one state-of-the-art programming language, such as Java, C++, or Python.
- Strong understanding of big data frameworks like Spark, Ray, or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with building models using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
This role comes with a competitive salary range of $228,188 - $398,983 USD per year, based on location and relevant experience. We also offer equity opportunities. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
