Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Special Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Moses Lake School District. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing health services to students, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the school nurse in providing first aid and medical care for students with injuries, illnesses, or chronic health conditions.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders and parental consent, adhering to school district policies.
  • Monitor and assist students with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma) and ensure they are following their care plans.
  • Conduct vision, hearing, and other health screenings as directed by the school nurse.
  • Track student immunization records and report non-compliance to the school nurse for follow-up.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • Current CPR/1st Aid training.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to obtain current trainings as assigned by the Moses Lake School District nursing staff.
Working Conditions:

The LPN will work in a fast-paced environment, providing medical care and support to students in a school setting. The ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with parents, students, and staff is essential.
