The Clinical Specialist plays a vital role in upholding American House Senior Living's mission to enrich the lives of those we serve. This leadership support position serves as an acting Wellness Director in the community in the absence of the Wellness Director.
Key Responsibilities- Support ongoing training for Wellness Directors and implement company-wide clinical initiatives and programs.
- Partner with Regional Wellness Director to monitor and assist with clinical challenges as needed.
- Supervise the Wellness team, including training, performance management, coaching, motivating, and evaluating.
- Implement, deliver, and coordinate resident services, ensuring compliance with state regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate health care services with third-party providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Submit recommendations for budget, equipment, and supplies to the Executive Director.
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nursing.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- 3 years of management experience in assisted living communities.
- Physiological and psychological knowledge related to gerontology and dementia care.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals within the community.
- Experience working with OnShift, Relias, and Yardi EHR/EMAR.
- Experience working as a Wellness Director for American House Senior Living.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule.
- Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Requires up to 80% travel.
- Works in an office as well as throughout the community and its premises.
- Ability to help others with daily activities, including bathing, dressing/undressing, dining, exercising, etc.
- Ability to frequently communicate with residents, families, co-workers, etc.
