Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer at Complete Coach Works, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic engineering team, focusing on the development of electric drive systems for vehicles. Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in activities related to electric vehicle components, control systems, and energy storage solutions.
  • Designing and modifying products or systems using engineering principles.
  • Developing electrical products by analyzing customer requirements and researching manufacturing methods.
  • Evaluating electrical systems and applications through research and testing.
  • Overseeing the fabrication, operation, and installation of electrical products and systems.
  • Utilizing blueprints and wiring diagrams to complete projects.
  • Conducting detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
  • Researching and analyzing supplier data.
  • Surveying electrical systems and circuits.
  • Collaborating with vendors to source optimal components.
  • Completing work orders and documenting materials used.
  • Submitting project scopes that include budget estimates and objectives.
  • Staying updated with the latest advancements in electrical transport systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with the National Electric Code and other relevant regulations.
  • Performing additional cross-functional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of AC and DC current theory.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as C or C++.
  • Familiarity with CAN protocol is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus.
  • Experience with vehicles, either professionally or as a hobby, is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to spend extended periods seated and using office equipment.
  • Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to perform various physical activities including standing, kneeling, and crawling.
