We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Northside Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities and distributing work in the Clinical Observation Unit during scheduled shifts. You will also act as a professional educator and resource for new employees, demonstrating clinical expertise and competence.
Key Responsibilities- Charge Nurse: Coordinate daily activities and distribute work in the Clinical Observation Unit during scheduled shifts.
- Preceptor: Act as a professional educator and resource for new employees, demonstrating clinical expertise and competence.
- Clinical Expertise: Provide high-quality patient care and demonstrate expertise in the Clinical Observation Unit.
- Leadership: Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Education: Develop and implement educational programs for new employees and provide ongoing education and training to staff.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least one year of experience in a critical care or surgical setting.
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification: Certification in area of specialty.
