Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents and clients achieve their maximum potential and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks.
  • Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for clients/patients/residents with functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments.
  • Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities of clients/patients/residents and develop realistic therapy goals.
  • Administer appropriate occupational therapy programs and document client/patient/resident information for evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Provide education and training to clients/patients/residents and their families to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
Requirements
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist.
  • When working at a Sanford Health Facility, must also be certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
