- Support Off-Shift Maintenance Staff: Support and coordinate off-shift maintenance staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive Cultural Changes: Drive the cultural changes necessary for the organization to achieve its goals and objectives.
- Resolve Personnel Conflicts: Resolve personnel conflicts and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop Maintenance Systems: Develop systems and use applicable tools to improve understanding of maintenance costs and utility measures relative to overall goals of reliability.
- Oversee Utilities Systems: Oversee the daily operation of the utilities systems for the site, including steam boiler internals.
- Manage Engineering Stores: Manage engineering stores functions to properly support plant needs, including maintenance material and contracting needs, process material needs, raw material purchasing, and physical inventory.
- Industrial Maintenance Expertise: Solid knowledge in most or all of the following: industrial maintenance, plant electrical systems, AC/DC, boiler room operations, welding, pneumatics, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Budget Administration: Knowledge of budgets administration and financial reporting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Team Environment: Ability to build and maintain a strong team environment.
- Communication: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and policies/procedures. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret applicable business periodicals, journals, technical manuals, and government regulations.
- Mathematical Calculations: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including computing rates, ratio, and percents; ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
