Visium Resources, Inc. is seeking a skilled Digital Press Operator to join our team. As a Digital Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of press equipment, including digital presses and finishing equipment. You will work under the direction of the Supervisor or Printer III, as needed, and will be responsible for ensuring that all print jobs are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Digital Press Equipment: You will be responsible for operating digital presses, including setting up and running jobs, making-ready for routine and complex digital printing jobs, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Operate Finishing Equipment: You will be responsible for operating a variety of finishing equipment, including stitch and trim equipment, desktop power folders, guillotines, and other equipment as needed.
- Prepare Print Jobs: You will be responsible for preparing print jobs for delivery, including inspecting all jobs for accuracy and quality.
- Complete Job Tracking Logs: You will be responsible for completing all job tracking logs, POD orders, Print POs, and any required reports accurately and on a daily basis.
- Provide Quotes and Support: You will be responsible for providing quotes for simple BW print jobs and using the pricing grid for established core color jobs. You will also be responsible for providing backup support and cross-training to facilitate improvement of quality and efficiencies.
- Experience: 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced printing environment.
- Digital Press Experience: Digital press experience (Xerox DocuTecs/Rizzos or comparable equipment) for accurate and quality BW production.
- Software Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of Xerox Free Flow Software, or industry make-ready software equivalent, to accurately prepare and impose files for routine and more complex digital printing jobs.
- Finishing Experience: Experienced in setting up and operating a variety of finishing equipment, including stitch and trim equipment, desktop power folders, guillotines, and other equipment as needed.
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Working Knowledge of Adobe Suite: Working knowledge of Adobe Suite applications such as InDesign, PhotoShop, and Acrobat.
- Knowledge of Host System: Knowledge in the Company's Host system to receive and fill orders for hospital forms.
