About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pulmonary Care Specialist to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' respiratory health and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Conduct diagnostic testing and interpret results to inform treatment decisions
  • Implement respiratory therapy interventions, including ventilation management and oxygen therapy
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-care and disease management
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
  • Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
