Job Summary:
Coshocton Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Float RN. As a Float RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various units within the hospital, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Float to two or more units based on need, maintaining competency to practice in all units.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.
