Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Stability Direct. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and other medical imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners and other medical imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly
  • Follow prescribed techniques in administering X-Rays and other imaging modalities
  • Assist radiologists in performing radiation treatment planning procedures
  • Maintain quality control procedures on all equipment
  • Adhere to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to minimize radiation exposure
  • Ensure images are properly oriented, identified, and marked before transmitting them to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Assist radiologists in performing procedures and computer-enhancing images
  • Utilize aseptic techniques and demonstrate ability to perform intravenous injections
  • Select proper techniques in imaging on an individual patient basis
  • Maintain records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients
  • Consult with patients to obtain a complete clinical history and gather pertinent clinical data
  • Review patient charts for proper exam of physician's orders
  • Schedule cases to coordinate with other patient examinations
  • Protect self and patients from injury and unnecessary radiation through direct visual observation
  • Differentiate anatomical abnormalities and notify radiologists
  • Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean working area
  • Perform all computer processing and imaging to ensure quality enhancement
  • Troubleshoot any problems that occur with equipment before calling for service
  • Maintain and respect confidentiality
  • Comply with hospital dress codes by wearing an ID badge and maintaining a professional appearance
  • Demonstrate commitment to own work schedule by adhering to attendance standards
  • Participate in 'on-call' rotation in accordance with the needs of the department
  • Rotate to all shifts as needed
  • Assist and transport patients in emergency situations to designated areas
  • Arrange for transportation to and from nursing units
  • Utilize time in an effective manner
  • Adjust personal schedule in case of fluctuations in workload of the department
  • Demonstrate ability to recognize priorities and deal with them promptly
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Report any suggestions or positive changes to supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Trade/Vocational School Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Less than 1 year A minimum of six months CT Technologist experience
  • Training and experience in radiation safety and protection
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist Must have current, valid NJ Licensure
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Advanced CT Certification through ARRT
Work Schedule

Two Full Time positions

  • 1. Rotating Evening, 2:30pm - 11:00pm rotating every other weekend
  • 2. Rotating Day shift 11:00am - 7:30pm, every other weekend
