Job Summary

DePaul University invites applications for a pool of qualified Part-time Faculty to teach courses in Film Philosophy. The successful candidate will have expertise in teaching film-related courses and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in Film Philosophy, including film analysis, film theory, and film history.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Philosophy, Film Studies, or a related field.
  • 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work in Film Studies or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in a diverse learning environment.
  • Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Philosophy, Theology, or a related field.
  • College-level teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching film-related courses.
