Aquatics Swim Instructor Job Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor at Life Time Fitness, you will play a vital role in helping both adults and children improve their swimming skills. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for teaching life skills to our youngest members and evaluating their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct swimming lessons and Aquatics events
  • Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns
  • Provide a safe, clean, and organized pool area
  • Promote and sell all Aquatics programs and services
Requirements:
  • Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certifications (within 60 days of hire)
  • Complete and pass all Life Time courses when hired
  • Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
  • Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
  • Ability to routinely lift more than 20 lbs
Preferred Requirements:
  • Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
Compensation and Benefits:

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $14.75 and paying up to $16.75, based on experience and qualifications. All team members receive a fully subsidized membership, discounts on Life Time products and services, retirement savings plan with company discretionary match, training and professional development, paid sick leave, and more.
