The Medical ICU is a 20-bed unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for adult and geriatric patients facing life-threatening medical, surgical, oncological, and pulmonary conditions.

As a Registered Nurse in our facility, you will play a crucial role in caring for patients during their most critical health challenges. Our nursing team is composed of individuals from diverse backgrounds, creating an environment where knowledge sharing and professional growth are highly valued. We take pride in utilizing our expertise to achieve positive outcomes in challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee activities, workflow, and nursing resources within the assigned nursing unit(s).
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Lead the hiring, training, development, and evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Identify and address issues impacting patient care delivery in the unit.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of health services.
  • Monitor budget compliance and manage expenditures accordingly.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • A minimum of two years of registered nursing experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Regular sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
  • Ability to use vision and depth perception for various distances and to distinguish colors.
  • Effective communication skills, including hearing and speech.
  • Frequent data entry and keyboard use.
  • Occasional physical activities such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing required.
