Senior Fabrication Technician

Cygnus Manufacturing Company LLC is a family-oriented company established in 1963, located in Saxonburg, PA. We are seeking an experienced Senior Fabrication Technician to join our team.

This role involves setting up and operating press brake equipment, ensuring the quality of fabricated parts meets high standards. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Operate and maintain press brake equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arise;
• Verify material requirements for jobs, ensuring accuracy and precision;
• Work from travelers and prints, checking counts, measurements, and specifications;
• Inspect and measure parts for quality, adhering to precise tolerances (+/- .005 on occasion and +/- .015 daily);
• Meet expected work quotas and traveler times, maintaining efficiency and productivity;
• Perform secondary de-burring tasks as required for special jobs;
• Record PCP information as necessary, accurately documenting job details;
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations;

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Familiarity with AMADA and Trumpf Press Brakes preferred;
• Strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and attention to detail;
• Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations;
• Frequent lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs.;
• Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (hot, cold, and/or noisy areas);
• Frequent hand-to-finger activities, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing;
