Staff Accountant Job Description

At Creative Financial Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations, including cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including complex transactions.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial analyses, including variance analysis and trend analysis.
  • Internal Controls: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, including accounting procedures and GAAP compliance.
  • Accounts Payable: Oversee the three-way matching cycle and tax compliance, including supplier setup and evaluation.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Perform ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed.
