We are currently in search of a Chief Executive Officer to guide our dedicated team and address the evolving needs of our community. The ideal candidate will be a driven leader with substantial experience in healthcare management, particularly in hospice or homecare settings. A passion for delivering high-quality end-of-life care and the ability to foster community relationships are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a clear vision to navigate future challenges while enhancing patient care and expanding organizational services.
- Formulate and propose comprehensive policies and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of the annual budget.
- Regularly monitor financial performance against budgeted projections.
- Ensure the delivery of top-tier patient care in a cost-effective manner, providing ongoing performance reports.
- Create and disseminate annual operational plans with specific performance objectives.
- Implement quality assurance and risk management strategies to maintain compliance.
- Lead the development of partnerships with healthcare facilities and community organizations.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Board and operational services.
- Engage with national, state, and community entities as necessary.
- Encourage ongoing professional development for staff through relevant training and association involvement.
- Oversee recruitment and termination processes for staff members.
- Build a cohesive team of high-performing individuals dedicated to providing outstanding care.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Play a crucial role in fundraising and resource development.
- Stay informed about changes in legal and compliance standards.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient and organizational information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in senior management roles, with a minimum of two years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of healthcare policies and reimbursement frameworks.
- At least three years of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience in leading organizations focused on serious illness and end-of-life care is highly desirable.
