ROLE OVERVIEW
The Bartender is tasked with greeting patrons, accurately processing all food and beverage orders, and ensuring timely delivery to guarantee guest satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide guests with detailed and accurate information regarding menu selections, pricing, and allergen details.
- Recognize and nurture relationships with regular patrons to encourage repeat visits.
- Promptly and accurately input orders into the POS system.
- Ensure that all food and beverages are served promptly and according to established standards.
- Maintain adequate stock levels throughout the shift.
- Assist in rearranging furniture as directed by management.
- Verify guest identification to confirm age eligibility before serving.
- Support food servers by delivering service efficiently.
- Adhere to precise drink recipes when preparing beverages.
- Organize and prioritize service tasks effectively.
- Address guest concerns and complaints with a positive attitude, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations as well as state and federal liquor laws.
- Uphold company safety and sanitation standards.
- Process guest checks through the POS system and handle various payment methods.
- Collect necessary signatures from guests and finalize checks promptly.
- Ensure accurate accounting of all bar transactions.
- Complete all required closing procedures.
- Immediately clean spills and dispose of trash appropriately.
- Report any complaints, comments, or incidents to management.
- Complete nightly, weekly, and opening/closing duties as assigned.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management without delay.
- Maintain proper rotation of all consumable items.
- Keep the bar area clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and notify management as needed.
- Politely refuse service to overly intoxicated guests while ensuring their safety.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possession of all required state work cards.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong knowledge of beers and spirits.
- Understanding of proper lifting techniques.
- Excellent guest relations skills.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety practices.
- Safe alcohol service practices.
- Experience in full-service restaurant operations.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
