About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our Insurance Defense team, you will be responsible for handling complex insurance defense litigation cases from inception to resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of complex insurance coverage and defense matters, working cases from beginning to end.
- Represent clients in a wide range of insurance claims, disputes, and litigation.
- Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and advise clients regarding legal rights.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of insurance companies.
- Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient progression of cases.
- Develop relationships with clients and work closely with them to understand their business operations and risk profiles.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of insurance defense topics.
- Stay updated with changes in the legal and insurance industries to provide the most current and comprehensive services to clients.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong experience in managing a high volume of cases from inception through trial.
- Exceptional knowledge of federal and state statutes, court rules, forms, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent advocacy, research, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex legal documents and manage large amounts of data.
- Strong client service skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
