YOUR ROLE
- The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering world-class healthcare services.
- Takes on both direct and indirect responsibilities for the patient's care environment.
- Primary duties involve providing care through collaboration with healthcare team members and the independent application of nursing practices.
- Provides leadership, mentorship, and serves as a role model for other healthcare team members.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating and delegating care in a safe, secure, and hygienic environment.
- Care delivered respects the patient's rights, dignity, values, confidentiality, and expressed needs.
- Demonstrates adaptability by utilizing evidence-based practices and information technologies while maintaining a focus on patient comfort, pain relief, and anxiety alleviation.
REPORTS TO:
- Nurse Manager
SUPERVISES:
- Nurse Extern, Graduate/Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Technician/Specialty Technician, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
- Preferred: 2-5 years of experience as an RN
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Current RN license to practice in Florida
- Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or other specialized life support requirements as designated by the work area.
