Teaching Opportunity at Midwest Center for Youth and Families

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our Education Department at Midwest Center for Youth and Families. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students with special needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement multi-modal lesson plans aligned with Indiana State Academic Standards.
  • Interpret and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Treatment Plans for students.
  • Maintain accurate records and charts, as well as complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Assist students in developing positive self-esteem and peer relationships.
  • Plan and supervise educational outings, field trips, and special events.
  • Collaborate with general teachers, special needs staff, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning experience.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Indiana Teacher's License is required.
