We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Surgery Unit team at HERO Health Staffing Corporation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac nursing and be able to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assess and plan patient care needs, implementing and evaluating care plans as needed.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record, adhering to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and maintenance of hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide nursing care to patients with cardiac co-morbidity, including stroke patients and those requiring frequent monitoring.
- Perform NIHSS assessments, nursing bedside swallow screens, and provide stroke patient education using health literacy principles.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and transitions.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Cardiac Surgery Unit.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing, with a BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program preferred.
- One year of experience in an acute care facility or successful completion of an approved training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice, with BLS certification at date of hire.
- ACLS certification within a standard grace period from hire or transfer, as specified in the PeaceHealth Policy Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements.
- NIHSS certification required within six months of hire and recertified every two years.
Competitive hourly rate of $74.48/hour, with opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
