Occupational Therapy Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at CentraCare. As an OTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our occupational therapy department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized occupational therapy services to patients of all ages, utilizing the latest technology and techniques.
  • Work closely with a dedicated team to develop and implement effective treatment plans that promote patient independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop targeted interventions.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant curriculum and successful completion of clinical field work.
  • Must have entry-level skills and knowledge in the provision of occupational therapy services with clinical field work completed in an acute care or sub-acute care setting.
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant by the NBCOT required or obtained within 6 months.
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant through the State of Minnesota required, or Temporary OTA permit required with Occupational Therapy Assistant license obtained within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card.
