KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Guide children safely across intersections while they travel to and from school.
  • Document vehicle license plates of those violating traffic regulations and report these incidents to local authorities.
  • Control traffic flow to facilitate safe crossing for children.
  • Monitor student behavior and report any misconduct.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Understanding of traffic regulations and safety practices.
  • Basic first aid knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain alertness at all times.
  • Capability to manage both children and traffic simultaneously.
  • Commitment to safety in all activities.
  • Willingness to learn about traffic signals and hand signals.
  • Proficient in using handheld signs and whistles.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Combination of education and experience may be taken into account.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license from the State of Georgia.
