We are currently seeking a **Facilities Maintenance Attendant** to become a vital member of our Housekeeping team.

The Housekeeping Team at the Field Museum plays an essential role in upholding the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of our historic facility for both visitors and staff. This team is tasked with ensuring that all public and administrative spaces are consistently clean and well-maintained.

This is a full-time position, requiring availability to work five days a week, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform vacuuming duties
  • Conduct damp wiping of surfaces
  • Sanitize restroom fixtures
  • Mop and maintain floors
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

**Required Qualifications**

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend and reach as necessary
  • Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Experience using various cleaning tools, products, and equipment
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with a readiness to assist visitors and staff
