We are seeking an exceptional Embedded Systems Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Kickr Design. With a strong background in firmware programming and experience in microcontroller development, you will play a key role in architecting, programming, and testing real-world electronics for various applications.

As part of our core engineering team, you will be responsible for managing electrical projects from concept to manufacturing, participating in brainstorming sessions, collaborating with team members, and coordinating timely deliveries. Your expertise in C/C++ software development, especially in embedded systems, will enable you to write and debug microcontroller firmware efficiently.

You will have access to a fully equipped prototyping studio, allowing for limitless experimentation and exploration of cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, program, and test real-world electronics for various applications
  • Manage electrical projects from concept to manufacturing
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and collaborate with team members
  • Coordinate timely deliveries and interact with clients professionally

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in microcontroller firmware programming
  • Circuit board prototyping, assembly, and testing
  • Strong experience in C/C++ software development, especially in embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of Yocto, bitbake, Linux system configuration, package management, BSP, image generation
  • Familiarity with Mender or other IoT tools for remote device management and deploying OTA updates
  • Familiarity with NXP i.MX 6 application processors preferred
  • Understanding of I2C, UART, SPI, MIPI CSI-2 preferred
