Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities and Machine Shop Manager for our Global Headquarters in Chesterfield, MO. The ideal candidate will manage all building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management, as well as oversee the Machine Shop's processes and operations to ensure production and quality goals are met.
ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Management:
- Directs the machining activities for all functions within the machine shop using Lean principles to establish best-in-class machining processes.
- Inspects equipment & machinery to observe possible unsafe acts and conditions, develops inspection policies, and establishes regular inspection schedules.
- Develops/implements/maintains systems and processes to continually improve (SQDIPM) Safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and production.
- Develops maintenance policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of the buildings and grounds and equipment.
- Maintains contingency plans, including fire prevention, and procedures for controlling hazardous spills in accordance with government regulation and insurance company requirements.
- Maintain, manage, and upgrade fire and security systems for the buildings as required.
Leadership and Communication:
- Work with EHS Supervisor on training accident prevention, including emergency preparedness, electrical safety, machine guarding, fall protection, and forklifts.
- Develops budget to support the Facilities and Machine shop objectives while driving efficiencies.
- Formulates and documents standard work and develops machining standards.
- Reviews and selects applicable contractors for facility repairs outside the scope of maintenance staff as necessary, including snow removal, lawn care, and pest extermination services.

- Experience in machining and Lean Manufacturing.
- 3+ years in facilities management.
- Project management skills.
- 5 years supervisory experience.

Work Environment
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl and move about facility and/or customer's facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds. Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise, and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility's production floor or customer's production environment.
