About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Step Down Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care to general medical-surgical units.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit.
Requirements
  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent Step Down experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
