Rehabilitation Specialist Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide therapeutic services to individuals in both outpatient and inpatient environments, concentrating on orthopedic, sports-related, pediatric, and neurological issues.
  • Design personalized rehabilitation strategies tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each patient.
  • Oversee a comprehensive patient caseload and modify treatment approaches as required.
  • Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and methodologies to enhance their recovery.
  • Guide and mentor physical therapy assistants throughout the day for exercise guidance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment.
  • Deliver individualized, evidence-informed care to all patients.
  • Develop customized fitness and wellness initiatives for patient engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in the role of a Physical Therapist.
  • Familiarity with contemporary treatment methodologies.
  • Capability to function autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to provide care to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
